Do you ever avoid a TV show because you can tell it’s obviously going to be good, and you’re afraid of the time-suck and of making a new commitment? Jerry Seinfeld’s web series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee was like that for me. As soon as I heard about it, I was like, “Oh, that’d be funny.” Jerry Seinfeld doesn’t put stuff of his out unless it’s his A-game, and the structure of the show makes for just enough meat and style on the bones of what is basically a conversation between two funny people.

So far, I’ve only taken two nibbles…Chris Rock’s episode, and now Louis CK’s. I’m getting ready to form a commitment though. Season 3 just started, and I think I’ll start making it a habit.

This whole episode is good, but if you’re too busy for a whole 22-minute meal, fast forward to around 17:40 where Louis starts telling a great story about getting his yacht stuck in the mud in Harlem. Classic stuff.

NOTE: I tried way too hard to get the Louis CK episode to embed below, but technology is not cooperating. This may or may not be the Don Rickles episode (which is funny too). Louis’s is here just in case.
